The tradition and the character of the Warsaw University of Life Sciences tradition focus on life sciences. Therefore, life has become the main inspiration for the new visual identity of the University, and the refreshed traditional symbol of the University has become the basic element of the SGGW logo.
Life is based on cells made of proteins and organic compounds. The visual identity of the University is constructed in a similar way – it is made up of elementary particles of the Warsaw University of Life Sciences. Their shapes, based on a circle, refer to nature on a micro-scale – water drops, particles, cells.
“SGGW elementary particles” allow you to build coherent and original compositions, illustrations, and animations. They are part of the original typography, as well as the Symbol and Sign of the Warsaw University of Life Sciences.
Life and nature are also the starting point for the color palette. The basic colors are three shades of green and red. The colors are inspired by the colors found in nature. An additional important component of identification is the use of tonal transitions – reflecting the fluidity and variability of life and nature.
The identification determines the style of illustrations and photographs used in the University’s communication. All promotional materials of SGGW are created to communicate to two lines of identification. The differentiation of the visual language into two lines results from two target groups: youth, high school students, students and scientists, entrepreneurs and politicians.
