Minister’s scholarship
Information on the Minister's Scholarship for significant achievements for students for the academic year 2020/2021
In order to apply, you must submit your wish to apply for a scholarship to the Minister’s address bss@sggw.edu.pl no later than 14.10.2020, together with a brief description of your achievements and an opinion of the proposal of dean or dean.
The BSS employee designated as the “application editor” will set up an application in the ZSUN/OSF system (through which applications are submitted) to the student (who has applied by 14.10.2020) and create an account of the “assistant editor” of his application.
The student logs in to the system and completes his application (enters achievements and attaches scans of documents in the system) by 17.10.2020.
Until 18.10.2020 student (assistant editor) informs by e-mail (bss@sggw.edu.pl) about the completion of editing the application in the ZSUN/OSF system.
Until 19.10.2020 the student provides to the Office of Student Affairs (Building 8 4) originals (for verification) statements and diplomas/confirmations of participation in individual events/competitions/conferences, which he attached to the application (in addition to photocopies of the title pages of articles, magazines, monographs, post-conference materials, etc.).
After verification of the data entered by the student (assistant editor), the application editor (university employee) can raise objections and request or edit the application.

NOTE: The deadline for notification is 14.10.2020.
What achievements are evaluated?
The Minister’s scholarship may be awarded to a student with significant scientific or artistic achievements related to studies or significant sporting achievements.
When assessing applications for student grants, account shall be taken of significant scientific or artistic achievements related to studies or significant sporting achievements achieved during the study period from:
- ) commencement of studies , in the case of a first-level student or a single master’s degree,
- ) commencement of first-degree studies preceding second-level studies , in the case of a second-level student,
- ) 1 October of the academic year in which the student was awarded the last student grant or the Minister’s scholarship for outstanding achievements, pursuant to Article 11(1) of The Staff Regulations; Whereas Article 181 (1) of the Treaty provides that the Community may adopt measures 2 of the Act of 27 July 2005. – Law on higher education (Journal of Laws of 2017, item 2183, as amended, as amended)
– until 30 September of the year in which the application is submitted, excluding periods of leave from classes or other breaks granted in accordance with the rules of study.
Who can apply?
The scholarship may be awarded to a student who has completed a year of study in the previous academic year and has been entered for the following year of study in a given academic year.
A student studying simultaneously in several fields of study may receive a scholarship from the Minister in only one direction indicated by him.
The Minister’s scholarship is awarded to first-degree studies, second-degree studies and uniform master’s degrees, but not more than for a period of 6 years;
The Minister’s scholarship is not awarded to a student holding a professional title:
- master’s, master’s degree, or equivalent,
- bachelor’s degree, engineer or equivalent if he/she re-enrolls in first-level studies.(also applies to professional titles obtained abroad.)
The Minister’s scholarship is not awarded to students who are:
- candidates for professional soldiers or professional soldiers who have undertaken their studies on the basis of referral by the competent military authority and have received assistance in receiving training under the provisions on the military service of professional soldiers,
- public service officers in the candidate service or state officials who have undertaken their studies on the basis of the referral or consent of the competent superior and have received assistance in obtaining education under the rules on service.
