Graduates from Bulgaria, Croatia, the Czech Republic, Hungary, Poland, Romania, Russia, Serbia, Slovakia and Ukraine are eligible to apply.

Funding is provided for postgraduate studies (i.e. master), research soyourns and doctoral studies at state and state-funded higher education institutions in Bavaria. The annual scholarships can be extended twice for up to 3 years; the scholarship amounts 861, – € per month.

The objective of the program is to support scientific cooperation and academic exchange between Bavaria and Central, Eastern and Southeastern Europe.
