A document confirming knowledge of English is required from candidates who apply for admission to studies conducted in English.<\/p>

Candidates are obliged to provide one of the following documents certifying their knowledge of English at minimum B2 level.<\/p>

The Regulation of the Minister of Science and Higher Education of July 30, 2025, on the types of documents certifying knowledge of the language in which education is conducted entered into force on August 1, 2025. Pursuant to the aforementioned Regulation, documents certifying knowledge of English at a language proficiency level no lower than B2, accepted in the recruitment process from August 1, 2025, at the Warsaw University of Life Sciences, are:<\/p>

  1. a certificate, diploma or other document confirming knowledge of English in the following four language skills: listening, reading, speaking and writing, at the B2, C1 or C2 language proficiency level, issued by the indicated institution:
    \u2013 University of Cambridge, ESOL Examinations:<\/strong>
    \u2013 \u2013 B2 First (FCE),
    \u2013 \u2013 C1 Advanced (CAE),
    \u2013 \u2013 C2 Proficiency (CPE),
    \u2013 \u2013 B2 Business Vantage (BEC Vantage),
    \u2013 \u2013 C1 Business Higher,
    \u2013 \u2013 Certificate in English for International Business and Trade (CEIBT),
    \u2013 University of Cambridge, ESOL Examinations, British Council, IDP IELTS Australia:<\/strong>
    \u2013 \u2013 International English Language Testing System IELTS \u2013 at least 5,5 points,
    \u2013 Trinity College London:<\/strong>
    \u2013 \u2013 ESOL Skills for Life \u2013 Level 1 (B2) or higher,
    \u2013 \u2013 Integrated Skills in English (ISE) \u2013 ISE II or higher,
    \u2013 \u2013 ISE Digital \u2013 over 80 points (B2),
    \u2013 Educational Testing Service (ETS):<\/strong>
    \u2013 \u2013 Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL) w wersji Internet-Based Test (iBT) \u2013 at least 72 points,
    \u2013 \u2013 Test of English for International Communication (TOEIC) \u2013 at least: 785 points in the Listening & Reading section and 150 points in the Speaking section and 160 points in the Writing section,
    \u2013 Pearson Assessment English:<\/strong>
    \u2013 \u2013 Pearson English International Certificate \u2013 paper and computer versions (previously Pearson Test of English General (PTE) lub London Tests of English) \u2013 Level 3 (Edexcel Certificate in ESOL International Level 1 \u2013 mark Pass, Merit, Distinction) or higher,
    \u2013 \u2013 Pearson Test of English Academic (PTE Academic) in the stationary and online versions \u2013 at least 59 points,
    \u2013 LanguageCert (PeopleCert Qualifications (PCQ)):<\/strong>
    \u2013 \u2013 LanguageCert International ESOL \u2013 LanguageCert Level 1 Certificate in ESOL International (Listening, Reading, Writing) (Communicator B2), also known as: LanguageCert International ESOL Communicator B2 Listening, Reading, Writing or higher including LanguageCert Level 1 Certificate in ESOL International (Speaking) (Communicator B2), also known as LanguageCert International ESOL Communicator B2 Speaking or higher,
    \u2013 \u2013 LanguageCert Academic \u2013 LanguageCert Level 1 Certificate in ESOL International (Listening, Reading, Writing, Speaking) (LanguageCert Academic B2) or higher,
    \u2013 \u2013 LanguageCert Test of English \u2013 LanguageCert Level 1 Certificate in ESOL International (Listening, Reading, Writing, Speaking) (LanguageCert Test of English B2) or higher,
    \u2013 Education Development International (EDI), London Chamber of Commerce and Industry Examinations Board: London Chamber of Commerce and Industry Examinations (LCCI):<\/strong>
    \u2013 \u2013 English for Business Level 2 or higher,
    \u2013 \u2013 Foundation Certificate for Teachers of Business English (FTBE),
    \u2013 European Consortium for the Certificate of Attainment in Modern Languages \u2013 Level B2 (Vantage) or higher,<\/strong>
    \u2013 telc GmbH, WBT Weiterbildungs-Testsysteme GmbH:<\/strong>
    \u2013 \u2013 Certificate in English,
    \u2013 \u2013 Certificate in English for Business Purposes,
    \u2013 \u2013 Certificate in English for Technical Purposes,
    \u2013 \u2013 telc English,
    \u2013 \u2013 telc English Business,
    \u2013 \u2013 telc English Technical,
    \u2013 \u2013 telc English University;<\/li>
  2. a certificate of completion of a preparatory course for studies referred to in Article 60, Section 4 of the Act of 12 December 2013 on Foreigners, lasting no less than 9 months, certifying knowledge of English in four language skills: listening, reading, speaking, and writing, at a language proficiency level of B2, C1, or C2. The courses are conducted by universities operating within the higher education and science system of the Republic of Poland;<\/li>
  3. a diploma of completion of first-cycle studies, second-cycle studies or long-cycle studies in the field of English philology or applied linguistics, issued by a university operating within the higher education and science system of the Republic of Poland or a foreign university, together with a diploma supplement or a certificate confirming that the number of hours of English language classes was at least 500;<\/li>
  4. a diploma of completion of first-cycle studies, second-cycle studies or long-cycle studies issued by a university operating within the higher education and science system of the Republic of Poland or a foreign university, containing information on the language of instruction of the studies, and if the diploma of completion of studies does not contain such information \u2013 additionally a diploma supplement or a certificate containing information that the language of instruction of the studies was English;<\/li>
  5. International Baccalaureate Diploma \u2013 if language A is English – applies foreigners who are not citizens of the European Union, the European Free Trade Association (EFTA) \u2013 parties to the Agreement on the European Economic Area, the Swiss Confederation, the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland;<\/li>
  6. European Baccalaureate Diploma \u2013 in relation to the first (L1) or second (L2) language, i.e. if L1 or L2 is English;<\/li>
  7. a certificate of acquisition of the right to practice as a sworn translator of English issued by the Minister of Justice, referred to in Article 5, Section 2 of the Act of 25 November 2004 on the profession of sworn translator, or a certificate confirming entry on the list of sworn translators of English;<\/li>
  8. Polish secondary school leaving certificate, certifying the passing of the matura exam in English at the extended level with a score of 60% and above – applies to candidates applying for admission to first-cycle studies and long-cycle master’s studies based on a Polish secondary school leaving certificate;<\/li>
  9. International Baccalaureate Diploma \u2013 applies to Polish citizens and foreigners who are citizens of the European Union, the European Free Trade Association (EFTA) \u2013 parties to the Agreement on the European Economic Area, the Swiss Confederation, the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland;<\/li>
  10. a diploma of completion of first-cycle, second-cycle, or uniform master’s studies issued by a university operating within the higher education and science system of the Republic of Poland with Polish as the language of instruction, certifying the passing of an English language exam at B2 level during the course of studies \u2013 applies to candidates applying for admission to second-cycle studies in the fields of biotechnology and biomedical technology conducted in Polish, based on a diploma of completion of studies obtained in the Polish education system;<\/li>
  11. a certificate issued abroad in the education system of the following countries: Australia, Ireland, Canada, Malta, New Zealand, the United States, the United Kingdom, enabling application for admission to first-cycle studies or uniform master’s studies in Poland, containing information about the language of instruction, and in the case where the certificate does not contain such information \u2013 additionally a certificate confirming that the language of instruction was English; The certificate referred to in the preceding sentence applies to Polish citizens as well as foreigners who are citizens of the European Union, the European Free Trade Association (EFTA) \u2013 parties to the agreement on the European Economic Area, the Swiss Confederation, the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland, who apply for admission to studies on the basis of this certificate.<\/li><\/ol>
