8).<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>\u00a0<\/p>\n<p><strong>What if I\u00a0didn\u2019t manage to submit my application by the deadline?<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Rector\u2019s Scholarship \u2013 we will process your application if it is received before the date on which the funds are allocated (November\/December).<\/p>\n<p>Social scholarship \u2013 you can submit your application at any time. To receive payment for the current month and subsequent months, submit your application by the 7th of the month in question.<\/p>\n<p>Scholarship for people with disabilities: if you received your disability certificate later, you can still \u00a0apply. To receive payment for the current month and subsequent months, submit your application by the 7th of the month in question.<\/p>\n<p>\u00a0<\/p>\n<p><strong>Do I\u00a0have to submit the application in person?<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>No. Someone else may submit the application on your behalf, provided it is signed by you.<\/p>\n<p>You can also submit your scholarship application in one of the following ways:<\/p>\n<p>\u2013 in paper form, bearing your handwritten signature and sent by post to the University\u2019s address, i.e.<\/p>\n<p>Warsaw University of Life Sciences<\/p>\n<p>Student Affairs Office<\/p>\n<p>Nowoursynowska 166, Building 8<\/p>\n<p>02-787 Warsaw<\/p>\n<p>\u2013 as an electronic document submitted via the e-Dor\u0119cze\u0144 system (if you have an electronic delivery box) to the address AE:PL-65299-47649-FTGDG-21<\/p>\n<p>The date the application is received by the Warsaw University of Life Sciences (SGGW) counts, not the date of posting.<\/p>\n<p>\u00a0<\/p>\n<p><strong>When is the scholarship paid?<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The scholarship is paid out by the 22nd of the month.<\/p>\n<p>The first payment is made by 31 December of the relevant year at the latest, including back pay for October and November, and in the case of applications submitted for the summer semester, the first payment will be made by 22 April, including back pay for March.<\/p>\n<p>The final payment will be made no later than 30 September.<\/p>\n<p>\u00a0<\/p>\n<p><strong>For what period is the scholarship awarded?<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The decision is issued for an academic year or a\u00a0semester:<\/p>\n<p>social scholarship \u2013 for a\u00a0semester;<\/p>\n<p>Rector\u2019s scholarship \u2013 for a\u00a0year or a\u00a0semester (depending on the date of graduation);<\/p>\n<p>scholarship for people with disabilities \u2013 for a\u00a0year or a\u00a0semester (not exceeding the validity period of the disability certificate).<\/p>\n<p>\u00a0<\/p>\n<p><strong>Can I\u00a0receive a\u00a0scholarship while studying in more than one degree program?<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>No. A\u00a0student enrolled on several degree programs at the same time is only entitled to a\u00a0scholarship for one program, chosen by the student. (\u00a7 5(1)(1)(b) of the Regulations).<\/p>\n<p>\u00a0<\/p>\n<p><strong>I\u00a0have already completed another degree; am I\u00a0eligible for a\u00a0scholarship? What are the restrictions on eligibility for a\u00a0scholarship?<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>A\u00a0student is not eligible for a\u00a0scholarship if they hold:<\/p>\n<ol>\n<li>a) a\u00a0Master\u2019s degree, a\u00a0Master of Engineering, or an equivalent academic degree,<\/li>\n<li>b) a\u00a0Bachelor\u2019s degree, a\u00a0Bachelor of Engineering degree, or an equivalent academic degree, if they are resuming first-cycle studies.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p>A\u00a0scholarship is not payable once the total duration of study exceeds 12 semesters, regardless of whether the student has previously received it, provided that, within this period, the scholarship is payable for:<\/p>\n<ol>\n<li>a) first-cycle studies \u2013 for no longer than 9 semesters;<\/li>\n<li>b) second-cycle studies \u2013 for no longer than 7 semesters.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p>\u00a0<\/p>\n<p><strong>Can I\u00a0receive a\u00a0scholarship whilst on a\u00a0student exchange program (Erasmus+, etc.)?<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Yes.<\/p>\n<p>\u00a0<\/p>\n<p><strong>If I\u00a0am receiving a\u00a0NAWA scholarship, can I\u00a0also receive other scholarships?<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Yes.<\/p>\n<p>\u00a0<\/p>\n<p><strong>Can I\u00a0receive both the social scholarship and the Rector\u2019s scholarship at the same time?<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Yes, but the total monthly amount of the social scholarship and the Rector\u2019s scholarship must not exceed 38% of a\u00a0professor\u2019s minimum basic salary. If the sum of the social scholarship and the Rector\u2019s scholarship exceeds the above limit, the amount of the Rector\u2019s scholarship will be reduced accordingly. (\u00a7 5(10) of the Regulations).<\/p>\n<p>\u00a0<\/p>\n<p><strong>Can I\u00a0receive a\u00a0grant whilst on leave of absence?<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>A\u00a0student on leave of absence is only entitled to an allowance.<\/p>\n<p>You cannot apply for a\u00a0social scholarship or a\u00a0scholarship for people with disabilities.<\/p>\n<p>A\u00a0student who has been granted a\u00a0leave of absence during the academic year loses the right to a\u00a0social scholarship and a\u00a0scholarship for people with disabilities from the month following the month in which the leave of absence was granted. (\u00a7 6(2) of the Regulations).<\/p>\n<p>A\u00a0student who has been granted a\u00a0leave of absence during the academic year will continue to receive the Rector\u2019s scholarship, awarded on the basis of criteria met in the previous academic year, until the date specified in the decision granting that scholarship. (\u00a7 6(3) of the Regulations).<\/p>\n<p>\u00a0<\/p>\n<p><strong>I\u00a0am a\u00a0foreigner; what benefits can I\u00a0apply for?<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>You can apply for a\u00a0social scholarship, a\u00a0rector\u2019s scholarship, allowance, or a\u00a0scholarship for people with disabilities.<\/p>\n<p>You will be awarded a\u00a0scholarship for people with disabilities if you hold a\u00a0relevant disability certificate.<\/p>\n<p>You are eligible for a\u00a0social scholarship if you meet at least one of the criteria set out in \u00a7 10(1) of the Regulations. A\u00a0list of required documents can be found in Appendix 1b to the Regulations.<\/p>\n<p>\u00a0<\/p>\n<p><strong>How will I\u00a0be informed if I\u00a0have been awarded a\u00a0scholarship?<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The administrative decision will be available in the eHMS system under the \u2018benefits\u2019 tab as a\u00a0downloadable PDF. Please ensure you download the decision to your computer.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Can I\u00a0receive a\u00a0scholarship if I\u2019m studying part-time?<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Yes. Scholarships are available to both full-time and part-time students.<\/p>\n<p>\u00a0<\/p>\n<p><strong>I\u00a0disagree with the scholarship decision \u2013 what can I\u00a0do about it?<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Students have the right to appeal to the Scholarship Appeals Committee within 14 days of receiving the administrative decision. We publish the Ordinance on our website.<\/p>\n<p>\u00a0<\/p>\n<p><strong>What grade point average do I\u00a0need to qualify for a\u00a0scholarship?<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Grade point average points are awarded to the top 10 % of students in a\u00a0given year; however,<\/p>\n<p>the average must not be lower than 4.0 (the average of all subjects covered by the study program<\/p>\n<p>completed in the previous year).<\/p>\n<p>\u00a0<\/p>\n<p><strong>Am I\u00a0eligible for a\u00a0scholarship in the first year of my first-cycle studies?<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Yes, a\u00a0scholarship is granted to a\u00a0student admitted to the first year of studies in the year of taking the secondary school-leaving exam (matura), who is:<\/p>\n<ol>\n<li>a) a\u00a0laureate of an international Olympiad, or a\u00a0laureate or finalist of a\u00a0central-level Olympiad, as referred to in the educational system regulations,<\/li>\n<li>b) a\u00a0medalist in at least the Polish Championship level competition in a\u00a0given sport, as referred to in the regulations on sport. (\u00a7 15(4)(2) of the Regulations).<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p>\u00a0<\/p>\n<p><strong>Can I\u00a0receive the Rector\u2019s scholarship whilst on conditional enrollment or repeating a\u00a0year?<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>No. A\u00a0student who is repeating a\u00a0year, a\u00a0semester, or a\u00a0course that was the reason for their<\/p>\n<p>conditional enrolment, and a\u00a0student who has returned from a\u00a0leave of absence or resumed their<\/p>\n<p>studies, is not eligible for the Rector\u2019s scholarship, including \u00a7 5(9).
