See how to get vaccinated against Covid-19.\u00a0<\/strong>\r\n\r\n<strong>Vaccination e-referrals for foreigners<\/strong>\r\n\r\nIrrespective of whether you are:\r\n<ul>\r\n \t<li>a\u00a0school or university student studying in Poland,<\/li>\r\n \t<li>a\u00a0foreign doctoral student,<\/li>\r\n \t<li>a\u00a0foreigner holding a\u00a0work permit,<\/li>\r\n \t<li>a\u00a0diplomat,<\/li>\r\n \t<li>a spouse or child of any person meeting the above criteria, who also holds a residence permit allowing you to legally stay in Poland, you should report to your primary health care physician.<\/li>\r\n<\/ul>\r\n<strong>How should doctors issue referrals to foreigners<\/strong>\r\n\r\nPrimary health care physicians are authorised and ought to issue vaccination referrals using the gabinet.gov.pl application. When issuing a\u00a0referral, the doctor should select the \u201cOther identifier\u201d option in the \u201cPatient data\u201d field (other than the \u201cPESEL number\u201d option) and input the number of the document used by the given foreigner to prove his or her identity. Preferably, such a\u00a0document should be a\u00a0passport or a\u00a0foreign national ID card.\r\n\r\n<strong>Note:\u00a0<\/strong>Do not forget to bring the same document that your doctor had used to prepare your referral when visiting the designated facility to receive your vaccination. Remember to use the exact same ID document that had been used to prepare your e-referral at each stage of the vaccination process.\r\n\r\n<strong>Once your e-referral has been issued and is available in the online system, you can register for vaccination in two ways:<\/strong>\r\n<ol>\r\n \t<li>call the designated helpline \u2013 989 \u2013 you can do it yourself or have a\u00a0family member do it for you Providing a\u00a0mobile phone number is not required but will enable you to receive an SMS confirmation of your vaccination appointment. During the registration, you can choose the exact\u00a0<strong>time and place of vaccination<\/strong>. If you have provided a\u00a0mobile phone number, you will then receive an SMS confirming your vaccination appointment.<\/li>\r\n<\/ol>\r\n<strong>IMPORTANT \u2013 you must provide the document number included in the e-referral\u00a0<\/strong>\r\n<ol start=\"2\">\r\n \t<li>contact your preferred vaccination centre directly.\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.gov.pl\/web\/szczepimysie\/mapa-punktow-szczepien#\/\">See vaccination centre map<\/a>.<\/li>\r\n<\/ol>\r\n<strong>COVID-19 vaccinations for all foreigners staying in Poland legally are free of charge.<\/strong>\r\n\r\n<strong>How to prepare for vaccination*?<\/strong>\r\n<ol>\r\n \t<li><strong>Get proper sleep before vaccination\u00a0<\/strong>\u2013 sleep positively affects the immune system.<\/li>\r\n \t<li><strong>Limit your alcohol intake\u00a0<\/strong>\u2013 limit your alcohol intake several days before and after vaccination; preferably, avoid alcohol altogether.<\/li>\r\n \t<li><strong>Exercise before vaccination\u00a0<\/strong>\u2013 physical activity helps improve your body\u2019s condition.<\/li>\r\n \t<li><strong>Fasting is not required\u00a0<\/strong>\u2013 you may eat normally on your vaccination day.<\/li>\r\n \t<li><strong>Never stop taking your prescribed medication on your own<\/strong>\u00a0\u2013 always consult your doctor first.<\/li>\r\n \t<li><strong>Fill out the pre-vaccination questionnaire diligently<\/strong>\u00a0\u2013 you will be asked to fill out a\u00a0medical questionnaire before receiving the vaccine. Under no circumstances should you conceal any information!<\/li>\r\n \t<li><strong>Remain at the vaccination centre for at least 15\u00a0minutes<\/strong>\u00a0\u2013 this is to ensure your safety.<\/li>\r\n \t<li><strong>Do not be concerned about VAEs\u00a0<\/strong>\u2013 VAE stands for vaccine adverse events. They are rare and typically benign if they do occur. You may experience e.g. redness in the injection area or a\u00a0minor fever after vaccination. All such symptoms should subside within 1-3 days.
