Dear Students, PhD students, SGGW staff!\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>

The end of the winter semester of the 2021\/2022 academic year is coming. It was conducted both in a stationary and remote mode. It was very difficult for everyone due to the dynamic progression of the epidemic situation.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>

With the great commitment and determination of the entire academic community, i.e. employees, students and PhD students, all classes were delivered on time, and students could achieve the learning outcomes pursuant to the programs.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>

All classes were completed because the vast majority of staff, students and PhD students have been vaccinated against COVID-19.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>

We also followed principles of the sanitary regime, mainly wearing masks, disinfecting and keeping distance during lectures, classes and other university events. Our responsible attitude let us limit the risk of spreading infections, and if they had appeared, their course was mild, as indicated by experts.\u00a0<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>

Due to the information about the dynamically developing 5th wave of infections, we kindly ask all members of the SGGW community to continue to comply with the sanitary regime principles.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>

Please remember about wearing masks, social distancing and disinfection. Those should be standards not only during the examination session, but also during a well-deserved rest, the winter holidays.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>

We also ask all those who have not been vaccinated so far to reduce the negative effects of the COVID-19 pandemic by getting vaccinated. Do it for yourself, and for all your relatives and friends.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>

Today begins the last week of the winter semester, when the classes are\u00a0 conducted in a hybrid mode. For the sake of students, PhD students and staff health, the Rector’s college, after consultation with the students’ council, has made the following decisions regarding the rules of the university’s functioning until the end of the winter semester, i.e. 18 February, 2022.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>

\u00a0<\/p>

  1. During the last week of classes, <\/span>the remote formula is recommended as the basic form of organizing lectures and classes at the SGGW, whereas any stationary classes should be organized only in case when practical learning outcomes require direct contact with an academic teacher or specialized laboratory equipmen<\/span><\/b>t.<\/span> The final decision on that matter is subject to the Dean, taking into account the specificity of the study area at a particular Faculty<\/span><\/b>.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/li>
  2. All exams and other forms of assessment are to be conducted according to the schedule specified by the deans together with the subjects\u2019 coordinators and the students\u2019 council.\u00a0<\/span> We recommend using remote communication tools to verify the learning outcomes<\/span><\/b> pursuant to the study program.\u00a0<\/span> If the specificity of subjects \/ modules requires the organization of exams in a stationary mode, it is necessary to guarantee the safety for students and lecturers by booking large rooms in order to keep the distance. The final decision on that matter is subject to the Dean of the Faculty.<\/span><\/b>\u00a0<\/span><\/li>
  3. The diploma exams are to be held in a stationary or remote mode, according to the schedule specified by the deans. Remember to comply with the principles of sanitary regime during stationary exams, including a relevant break for disinfection and airing the room.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/li>
  4. In order to enable students access to textbooks and scripts, and to learn during the session, the SGGW Main Library will function in a sanitary regime during the extended opening hours, the detailed schedule available on the websit<\/span><\/b>e.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/li>
  5. Administrative services for students and PhD students in dean’s offices and other university units should take place using the means of electronic communication. Any direct contacts should be limited only to matters that absolutely require it.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/li>
  6. The deans of faculties are recommended to develop a hybrid work plan for non-academic staff, in accordance with the rules applicable to the central administration. In case the employees are not able to provide remote work, they should perform their duties on-site pursuant to rules of the sanitary regime.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/li><\/ol>
