Dr hab. Zbigniew Karaczun, prof. SGGW, Department of Environmental Protection and Dendrology, Institute of Horticulture Sciences, appeared as an expert on climate policy, as a part of the Polish Cities of the Future 2050 project.\u00a0<\/span><\/b>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>

\u201c<\/span>Probably everyone who watches this (editor’s note: link below) is aware there is something wrong with the climate<\/span><\/i>\u201d, says Dr. Zbigniew Karaczun, prof. SGGW, Department of Environmental Protection and Dendrology, Institute of Horticulture Sciences. (…) \u201c<\/span>This is a climate crisis because we have changed it. We have changed the structure of the atmosphere and it is still being changed. The average temperature of the atmosphere is getting higher. Unless we take very active measures to minimize greenhouse gas emissions, caused by people, we are at risk of a climate disaster<\/span><\/i>.\u201d<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>

As a part of the “Polish Cities of the Future 2050” campaign prof. Karaczun explained\u00a0 how mankind could take care of the atmospheric climate; what the construction sector should look like in future not to burden the environment; if the technology is sufficient to replace our ecological attitudes; whether the business leaders understand the climate crisis issue; what the modern energy thinking is? if it is possible to maintain the level of consumption we have; what will happen with access to water.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>
