Rector of SGGW, prof. <\/strong>dr<\/strong>\u00a0hab. Micha\u0142 Zasada signed an agreement as a result of which the scientists from our university will take part in the project of modernizing agricultural production in the Democratic Republic of Congo<\/strong>.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>

\u00a0<\/span><\/p>

The parties to the agreement\u00a0are:<\/span>\u00a0\u00a0<\/span>Yves Bankulu\u00a0Zola, The Minister of Youth of the Democratic Republic of the Congo,\u00a0Theophile Badoana, CEO of Africa Union Development, Jaros\u0142aw Kurgan, CEO\u00a0of Grain Power RS.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>

\u00a0<\/span>The concluded agreement concerns the cooperation of the parties in terms of consulting, and modern agricultural production as well as food processing, storage and logistics.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>

\u00a0<\/span>The Polish party undertook to support the Agropol\u00a0program implemented in Congo.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>

\u00a0<\/span>As part of the program, SGGW experts\u00a0will advise on irrigation projects, plant production technology and animal production technology.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>

Polish scientists and entrepreneurs will also support the authorities of the Democratic Republic of Congo in search of modern technologies in food industry.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>

They will also support producers in modernizing machines and devices for agricultural production.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>

The participants of the meeting emphasized that the country’s economic development is possible thanks to the cooperation between business and the world of science.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>

This type of collaboration will bring tangible benefits to the people of Congo.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>

During the meeting, the Ambassador of the Democratic Republic of Congo was represented by <\/span>Raphael Lohata Bwana Kitoko, and Roman Rogalski, vice president of the Lewiatan\u00a0Confederation also participated in it.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>

Apart from the SGGW Rector, the university\u00a0was represented by dr\u00a0hab. Marta Mendel, vice-rector for international cooperation,<\/span> \u00a0<\/span>and dr\u00a0in\u017c.
