The Polish Accreditation Committee (PKA) awarded the veterinary medicine study program at the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine (full cycle master’s studies) at the Warsaw University of Life Sciences with the Certificate of Educational Excellence.<\/strong><\/p>

\u00a0<\/p>

The SGGW veterinary studies received comprehensive accreditation for “the Excellent degree program<\/strong>” category.<\/p>

The certificate is awarded to those fields of study that have been positively assessed for 6 years, supported by good practice in terms of quality of education or documented, regular students’ and graduates’ achievements.<\/p>

\u00a0<\/p>

Veterinary medicine <\/strong>at the SGGW Faculty of Veterinary Medicine occupies the leading position in the national rankings of universities for many years.<\/p>

Students have the opportunity to learn about the latest scientific achievements and use the acquired knowledge by making use of the extensive teaching and research facilities, such as Small Animal Diseases and Clinic, Laboratory of Molecular Analyzes, Virology Laboratory, or Cytometry Laboratory.<\/p>

This year, the Polish Accreditation Committee awarded nine fields of study, at seven Polish universities in the category “Excellent degree program<\/strong>“. In Warsaw, there were: the Warsaw University of Life Sciences, the University of Warsaw, and The Aleksander Zelwerowicz National Academy of Dramatic Art in Warsaw.<\/p>

\u00a0The<\/strong>\u00a0Certificates are given in four categories<\/strong>:<\/p>

  • \u00a0Excellent degree program \u2013 <\/strong>excellence in providing education as part of a degree program,\u00a0<\/li>
  • Student-centred<\/strong>\u00a0\u2013 excellence in supporting the development of students,<\/li>
  • Open to the world<\/strong>\u00a0\u2013 excellence in international cooperation,<\/li>
  • Partner for development<\/strong>\u00a0\u2013 excellence in cooperation with social and economic stakeholders.<\/li><\/ul>

    The Polish Accreditation Committee is an independent institution, acting to ensure and enhance the quality of education. The primary objectives of the Committee are to ensure compliance with quality standards in higher education, reflecting the European and global best practices, and to support public and non-public universities in the process of enhancing the quality of education and developing a quality culture. These measures are aimed to ensure a high position of Polish higher education graduates on the national and international labor market and to increase the competitiveness of Polish higher education institutions as European institutions.<\/p>
