The UNIgreen alliance, of which SGGW is a member, was granted the status of the European University by the Euroean Commission. The status is the result of joining the alliance and participating in the implementation of this project, which involves institutional collaboration in all areas of the university’s operation, with the main emphasis on education.<\/span><\/p>

The UNIgreen Alliance is composed of eight European Higher Education Institutions specializing in agronomy, biotechnology, and life sciences (#WeAreUNIgreen).\u00a0<\/span><\/p>

  • University of Almer\u00eda \u2013 Spain (Coordinator)<\/span><\/li>
  • Agricultural University of Plovdiv \u2013 Bulgaria<\/span><\/li>
  • Agricultural University of Iceland \u2013 Iceland<\/span><\/li>
  • Haute Ecole de la Province de Li\u00e8ge – Belgium<\/span><\/li>
  • Instituto Polit\u00e9cnico de Coimbra \u2013 Portugal<\/span><\/li>
  • Paris Sup\u2019Biotech \u2013 France<\/span><\/li>
  • Universit\u00e0 degli Studi di Modena e Reggio Emilia – Italy<\/span><\/li>
  • Warsaw University of Life Sciences – Poland<\/span><\/li><\/ul>

    SGGW was responsible for the groundwork of the project, as part of the European University initiative, The Green European University (UNIgreen). <\/span>On February 17, 2022 the representatives of the universities involved in the UNIgreen alliance met in Brussels to sign a declaration of accession. <\/span>The entity responsible for the Rectors\u2019 meeting was the International Relations Office of the HEPL i.e., the Belgian partner university \u2013 Haute Ecole de la Province de Li\u00e8ge, which also manages the project at HEPL.<\/span>
    <\/strong><\/p>

    The project aspires to strengthen the links among education, research, innovation, good practice, and knowledge transfer so that the resulting consortium becomes a model European university as far as the areas of Agro, Bio, and Life Science are concerned. The project assumes the free flow of knowledge, facilitating the acquisition of double or joint European academic degrees, and attracting talented students from outside Europe by promoting multilingual approaches to studying, interculturalism, and increased inclusiveness. <\/span>The project is also expected to contribute to the economic transformation at the local and regional levels, and in case of the national level to launch supra-regional networks towards development, innovation and entrepreneurship, strengthening the personal and professional skills of people to increase their chances of employment.<\/span><\/p>\n <\/div>\n <\/div>\n <\/section>\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/section>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
