In the Department of Large Animal Diseases with the Clinic of the Institute of Veterinary Medicine, Warsaw University of Life Sciences, research is carried out on the safety of using the Ventil apparatus, developed at the Institute of Biocybernetics and Biomedical Engineering. M. Na\u0142\u0119cz PAN by the team of prof. M. Darowski. It is a device that enables independent ventilation of both lungs of a patient requiring intensive care. Due to the limitations of the treatment system and in an emergency, this device can be used to ventilate two patients simultaneously. This is especially important in the face of the current pandemic.<\/h3>\n

The subject of the research is to evaluate the safety and effectiveness of simultaneous ventilation of two animals using one respirator and the Ventil device on pigs under general anesthesia, as well as to determine the penetration of pathogens between the airways of the device, and consequently between the respiratory systems of animals.<\/p>\n

A team of scientists from the Warsaw University of Life Sciences, led by prof. Dr. Hab. Zdzis\u0142aw Gajewski and prof. Dr. Hab. Romuald Zabielski and from the Institute of Biocybernetics and Biomedical Engineering of the Polish Academy of Sciences under the supervision of prof. Dr. Hab. Adam Liebert and prof. Dr. Hab. Piotr \u0141ady\u017cy\u0144ski. The Clinic of Large Animals of the Warsaw University of Life Sciences, headed by professor Zdzis\u0142aw Gajewski, is a significant center in the country and in the world in the field of translational medicine, i.e. transferring the effects of veterinary research to human treatment.<\/p>\n<\/p>\n <\/div>\n
