Dance brings people together<\/b><\/p>

Art meets love, cultures meet friendship<\/span><\/p>

The International Istanbul-B\u00fcy\u00fck\u00e7ekmece Culture and Art Festival is one of the 70 members of FIDAF (Federation of International Dance Festivals), FIDAF has become a bridge of dance festivals happening across the globe.\u00a0 FIDAF is a champion of humanity as it brings peace and nurtures culture.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>

From SGGW to B\u00fcy\u00fck\u00e7ekmece<\/b><\/p>

LZA PROMNI under Rados\u0142aw Puszy\u0142o took part in the Festival, together with dozens of folk bands from around the world, including Chile, Bolivia, Bulgaria, Hungary, Guam, Mexico, India and Panama.<\/span><\/p>

Artistic diversity and a great success of PROMNI ensemble<\/b><\/p>

Our artists are constantly developing and perfecting their professional workshop. <\/span>Thanks to the excellent cooperation between Jarema Jarosi\u0144ski, the music director and Magdalena Sobczak-Kotnarowska, the singing instructor, PROMNI have completed over a dozen melodies that are subjected to vocal and instrumental arrangements and then presented during concerts and festivals. The new musical repertoire arranged by Jarema Jarosi\u0144ski is a mix of contemporary sound and tradition, and an unobvious solution present in folk music. <\/span>These compositions meet the expectations of the modern listener and allow the new generations of PROMNI not only to recreate beautiful, traditional folk dances and songs, but to rediscover, explore and create them again. Young artists become co-creators of the band’s new repertoire, which is very well received and will be presented in the future.<\/span><\/p>

Best Music Award goes to LZA PROMNI<\/b><\/p>

Tradition and modernity was recognized by the international jury as the best music performed during the Festival. Experts emphasized all 4 components, i.e. composition, arrangement, instrumentation and the performance of the ensemble during the show, which was at the highest world level.<\/span><\/p>

The successful performance in Turkey is part of a global festival gathering the best and most recognized bands from around the world. LZA PROMNI have already performed in Korea (Asia and Pacific edition), in Turkey (European edition), and they will perform in Brazil (US Edition) soon!<\/span>

Behind every success there are people full of passion and commitment, aware of their own capabilities and the support they receive from our university. <\/span>We have been operating at SGGW for over 50 years and we look to the future with confidence <\/span><\/i>– says Rados\u0142aw Puszy\u0142o, Manager of LZA PROMNI. <\/span>PROMNI is no longer a band, but an institution, and one big family<\/span><\/i>.\u00a0 Members of the group devote themselves completely. They are part of a project that cannot be described in words. PROMNI \u2013 how to achieve international success?<\/b><\/p>

LZA PROMNI is a team of extraordinary people. The ensemble consists of the following divisions: music, choreography, tailoring and administration.<\/span><\/p>

Choreographers,<\/b> Agnieszka Nagnajewicz and Andrzej Wo\u0142osz, conduct regular rehearsals, arrange programs, create choreographies, direct concerts and, motivate young people. <\/span>The music division under the direction of Jarema Jarosi\u0144ski deals with musical arrangements, concerts and events, creates new programs and supports choreographers. <\/span>Magdalena Sobczak-Kotnarowska conducts singing classes for students. She is an extraordinary and experienced artist with a great folk knowledge.<\/span><\/p>

The musicians<\/strong>, Dariusz Pecyna and Micha\u0142 Zu\u0144 have been the musical strength of our band for many years. We work closely with Karolina Lizer, our student who is a successful artist. Aleksander Roma\u0144ski, long-term music director of PROMNI, still supports the group with his experience and skills.<\/span><\/p>

The professional tailoring studio, managed by Janusz Kaspryk is the latest achievement of the ensemble. Moreover, thanks to the SGGW funding, PROMNI cooperate with excellent dressmakers, Ma\u0142gorzata Staniszewska and Lidia Kacperska,\u00a0 and have a modern equipment. <\/span>Currently, PROMNI restore costumes themselves, and even create some from scratch. <\/span>The PROMNI dressing room includes one of the most magnificent and best preserved collections of folk costumes in the country, there are costumes from 18 Polish regions, and its potential and functioning is comparable to those of professional ensembles.<\/span><\/p>

How to join the PROMNI ensemble?<\/b><\/p>

PROMNI is a student band, so we invite ALL SGGW students and other Warsaw universities who would like to spend time on dancing and singing, those who are not afraid to perform on stage. PROMNI performs in Poland and abroad. It’s a lifetime adventure.<\/span><\/p>
