Professor Hazem M. Kalaji from the Department of Plant Physiology, Institute of Biology, Warsaw University of Life Sciences, was one of the four Polish scientists on the list of the most cited academics. The list is published by Web of Science.<\/strong><\/div>\n

\"\"The list of the world’s most cited scientists (Highly Cited Researchers) was announced on November 18 this year. Clarivate Analytics<\/a> . This year, the list includes nearly 6,400 people, including four from Poland, and among them Prof. dr hab. Hazem M. Kalaji<\/strong><\/a>. Presence in the group of Highly Cited Researchers is highly rewarded in the Shanghai Ranking. In the methodology of the Shanghai Ranking, the presence of scientists from a given university on the Highly Cited Researchers list is as high as 20%. Presence among the most cited Hazem M. Kalaji<\/strong> gives WULS-SGGW a chance to enter the Shanghai Ranking 2020. <\/div>\n

In addition to professor HM Kalaji, this prestigious list of Polish scientists includes: Piotr Ponikowski from the Medical University of Piast\u00f3w \u015al\u0105skich in Wroc\u0142aw, Adam Torbicki from the Medical Center of Postgraduate Education in Warsaw and Jacek Namie\u015bnik from the Gda\u0144sk University of Technology. Also in 2019, Professor Kalaji was on the list of the most cited scientists.<\/p>\n

The list of the most cited researchers is published by the international analytical company Clarivate Analytics based on the Web of Science database. It indicates scientists whose publications were among the 1% most cited in 21 fields of science. The list includes the most scientists from the United States (41.5%). Out of the 6,389 people on the list, 3,896 conduct research assigned to specific areas, and 2,493 conduct interdisciplinary research.<\/p>\n
