Engineering of the Warsaw University of Life Sciences inaugurated a project entitled &#8220;Highly efficient subcritical compressor heat pump with a reduced amount of environmentally friendly refrigerant.&#8221;<\/strong><\/div>\n<div> <\/div>\n<div class=\"introText\">The project implemented under the Intelligent Development Operational Program 2014-2020 is financed by the National Center for Research and Development. The works will take 36 months. The project manager was dr hab. In\u017c. Pawe\u0142 Obstawski, Head of the Department of Fundamentals of Engineering and Power Engineering IIM SGGW.<\/div>\n<div class=\"fullText\">\n<p>The aim of the project is to develop a construction of a high-efficiency reversible subcritical compressor heat pump of the 10-100 kW series working in the air-water and brine (water) -water system, powered by a natural refrigerant belonging to the A3 group with a GWP coefficient.&lt; 30 and ODP = 0. A significant feature of the device will be the reduced mass of the refrigerant in the thermodynamic system. Ultimately, it is assumed that in the case of a heat pump with a capacity of 10kW-20kW, the weight of the refrigerant will be \u2264 100g \/ kW, while in the case of devices with a capacity of 20kW-100kW, the weight of the refrigerant in the system will be \u2264 150g \/ kW.<\/p>\n<\/p>\n<p>The device will have a modular design. Depending on the user&#8217;s needs, the heat pump will work with three independent modules: a hot utility water module (MCWU), a hydraulic tower (WH) and a heat recovery module (MOC) from mechanical ventilation. This design allows the device to be adapted to various operating conditions, including it will be possible to cooperate with the heat pump with elements of the building&#8217;s infrastructure, e.g. with the mechanical ventilation system, recovery of system heat from other installed cooling devices, server rooms, and technological processes, which makes them universal.<\/p>\n<p>The project is carried out as part of a consortium led by the ReBaNo company, responsible for the implementation of tasks related to the creation of pilot units.
