Publication in the Journal for ImmunoTherapy of Cancer is a multicentre, European study carried out by eminent scientists – leaders in the field of immunology.<\/p>\n

The aim of the study was to develop protocols and guidelines for the treatment of human suppression cells derived from the myeloid lineage. The study showed a significantly increased percentage of polymorphonuclear (PMN-MDSC) subpopulations of suppressive cells derived from myeloid lineage in cancer patients compared to patients with chronic infection and inflammation.<\/p>\n

The authors of the SGGW are: prof. dr hab. Magdalena Kr\u00f3l, Dr. Bart\u0142omiej Taciak and MA Emilia G\u00f3rka – scientists of the Independent Laboratory of Cancer Biology, Institute of Biology, Warsaw University of Life Sciences.<\/p>\n

Emilia G\u00f3rka, MA<\/strong><\/p>\n

A graduate of Medical Analytics at the Medical University of Warsaw. For many years he has been working at the Warsaw University of Life Sciences as a research specialist in Magdalena Kr\u00f3l’s team (currently in the Independent Cancer Biology Laboratory, Institute of Biology). Also employed in the Cellis biotechnology start-up, where she works on the development of cell therapy for solid tumors.<\/p>\n

Privately, he loves traveling to the most distant places on Earth and mountain climbing.<\/p>\n

Dr. Bart\u0142omiej Taciak<\/strong><\/p>\n

A graduate of Biotechnology at the Warsaw University of Life Sciences. In early 2019, he defended his doctorate at the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine, Warsaw University of Life Sciences. During his doctorate, he completed many international internships, incl. in Great Britain, Italy, Turkey and the Netherlands. Magdalena Kr\u00f3l was the promoter. From mid-2019, he is employed at the Warsaw University of Life Sciences (Independent Cancer Biology Laboratory, Institute of Biology) as a post-doc in the international Pol-Tur project (NCBiR), and from January 2021 he will also be employed as a post-doc in the ERC Proof of Concept project. Bart\u0142omiej also works in the biotechnology start-up Cellis, where he is responsible for the optimization of culture and preparation of cell quality control protocols used in the cell therapy of solid tumors.<\/p>\n

Privately, she loves traveling around the world by bike. A lover of Saab cars and classical music.<\/p>\n

Prof. dr hab. Magdalena King<\/strong><\/p>\n

A graduate of the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine at the Warsaw University of Life Sciences. In 2019, at the age of 38, she became a full professor. She completed numerous internships abroad, incl. in the USA, the Netherlands, Sweden and Italy. Winner of two ERC grants: Starting Grant and Proof of Concept. ERC named its project as one of the top 10 in the last 10 years. Currently, he is the head of the Independent Cancer Biology Laboratory, Institute of Biology, SGGW in Warsaw. She is the first Pole to be in the finals of the EU Prize for Women Innovator competition. Founder of the Cellis biotechnology start-up.<\/p>\n

Privately, mother of almost 10-year-old Agatka and a dog lover.
