The project will be conducted for two years, until the end of 2025. Over 77,000 participants will be involved in the educational activities. The project is primarily aimed at people with disabilities and with the risk of exclusion<\/p>

The contract was signed by prof. dr hab. Tomasz Okruszko, Vice-rector for Didactics on behalf of SGGW, Warsaw University of Life Sciences.
The educational project constitutes an important part of the active protection of our King of the Forest carried out within the ‘Comprehensive Protection of the European Bison in Poland,’ financed by the POIi\u015a funds, and the ‘Comprehensive Protection of the European Bison by the State Forests,’ projects financed by the Forest Fund\u2019, said S\u0142awomir Mazurek, Vice President of the Board of NFO\u015aiGW (National Fund for Environmental Protection and Water Management).
As part of the \u201cPod parasolem \u017cubra\u201d [Under the bison\u2019s umbrella] project, specialists from the Warsaw University of Life Sciences (SGGW) will provide information about diseases that the European Bison has been facing in recent years.
NFO\u015aiGW has decided to allocate funds because leaving the bison population without care, as well as the lack of proper social education, could potentially lead to an uncontrolled decline in numbers and disrupt the herd’s structure in the future, emphasized Mr. Mazurek.
The exhibition dedicated to the European Bison and its role in the environment is planned to be organized. During the exhibition, there will be 40 educational workshops.
The events are planned to be held at the Bison show farms to reach visitors from different parts of the country. During the events some live educational sessions will be provided, presenting the significance of the bison in the ecosystem. SGGW has also planned a series of 16 open webinars for various age groups and the release of a book titled \u201cPod parasolem \u017cubra\u201d for children.<\/p>
