Foreign Diplomas - requirements
Candidates with a foreign higher education diploma issued in the education system of a country other than:
- European Union (EU) member state,
- member state of the Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD),
- member state of the European Free Trade Association (EFTA) – parties to the agreement on the European Economic Area,
- country covered by an international agreement on the mutual recognition of education
i.e.: Australia, Austria, Belgium, Bulgaria, Chile, China, Croatia, Cyprus, Czech Republic, Denmark, Estonia, Finland, France, Greece, Spain, Ireland, Iceland, Israel, Japan, Canada, Colombia, Costa Rica, Libya, Liechtenstein, Lithuania, Luxembourg, Latvia, Malta, Mexico, Netherlands (Holland), Germany, Norway, New Zealand, Portugal, Republic of Korea, Romania, Slovakia, Slovenia, United States, Switzerland, Sweden, Turkiye, Ukraine, Hungary, Great Britain, Italy
upload to IRK a written information about the diploma issued by the the Polish National Agency for Academic Exchange (NAWA) director. Decision must confirm the right to apply for admission to second-cycle studies in Poland.
Written information about the diploma must include the following information, among others: the name and surname of the diploma holder, the number of the document confirming the identity of the diploma holder and the diploma number.
An application for such information should be submitted to the NAWA via the SYRENA system.
Recognition Statement printed from the KWALIFIKATOR system, are not accepted by the university.
The candidate presents a document confirming the recognition of the foreign higher education diploma during the recruitment process. Written information from the NAWA director should be uploaded to the IRK system before the end of the registration in a given recruitment phase. In the lack of the document, the candidate uploads a declaration regarding the obligation to submit written information from the NAWA director by the deadline indicated by the university in the recruitment calendar. Candidates applying for studies based on the declaration will be qualified conditionally. In the event of a positive outcome of the qualification procedure, the condition for admission to studies will be the candidate’s submission of a complete set of required documents together with written information from the NAWA director by the deadline provided for submitting documents in the round in which the candidate participated. In the absence of a document confirming the recognition of the diploma, an administrative decision to admit a foreigner to studies cannot be issued.
