SGGW joins the European EURAXESS network.
EURAXESS – Researchers in Motion is a European initiative.
EURAXESS activities in Poland are coordinated by the National Agency for Academic Exchange. The membership of Polish institutions in EURAXESS aims to build an environment in Poland and at the European Union level that supports researchers coming to Poland and Europe.
Polish scientific and higher education institutions that provide organised counselling and assistance to foreign scientists and doctoral students can become EURAXESS centres. Support may take the form of a Welcome Point or a dedicated office and cover issues such as visas, legalisation of residence, taxes, insurance, accommodation and other matters related to living and working in Poland, including the residence of family members.
The main activities of the network are the above-mentioned issues related to the international mobility of researchers. EURAXESS centres can also provide information about the European human resources strategy (European Charter for Researchers, ‘HR Excellence in Research’ award).
Network members exchange knowledge, experience and good practices in order to expand and professionalise their activities. Membership in EURAXESS enables participation in European initiatives, projects and events, as well as establishing contacts with the international community of people helping researchers.
