From 24 to 26 February 2026, SGGW will participate in the annual conference of APAIE (Asia-Pacific Association for International Education), which this year takes place in Hong Kong. The University is represented by Dr. hab. Marta Mendel, Prof. SGGW, Vice-Rector for Internationalization.
APAIE (Asia-Pacific Association for International Education) is one of the leading global events dedicated to the internationalisation of higher education. The conference brings together representatives of universities, educational institutions and organisations supporting academic cooperation from around the world, with a particular focus on the Asia-Pacific region.
Participation in the event provides SGGW with an opportunity to meet current partners and establish new contacts. Discussions held during the conference concern the development of student and staff mobility programmes, the creation of joint study programmes and the implementation of research projects. APAIE’s presence also supports the expansion of international mobility opportunities for students and strengthens research cooperation with universities from around the world.
WULS-SGGW takes part in the conference as part of the Polish national stand #Study and Research in Poland, organised by the Polish National Agency for Academic Exchange (NAWA). The joint presentation of Polish universities promotes the national educational offer and enhances the visibility of Polish higher education in international markets.
The activities of the Asia-Pacific Association for International Education focus on supporting cooperation between higher education institutions, developing exchange programmes, and building sustainable academic partnerships. SGGW’s participation in the conference aligns with the University’s internationalisation strategy and strengthens its presence in the global academic community.
