Erasmus+ Short-Term Mobility
Short-term mobility refers to study period lasting from 5 to 30 days. Within this category, students may participate in Blended Intensive Programmes (BIPs), summer schools with a virtual component, summer schools without a virtual component.
Each short-term mobility, must be worth at least 3 ECTS credits.

Basic Rules
- Every first-, second-, or third-cycle student holding student status at Warsaw University of Life Sciences (SGGW) is eligible to apply for an Erasmus+ grant for short-term mobility.
- For first- and second-cycle students, regardless of the type of short-term mobility, participation in a virtual component is mandatory. The virtual component is delivered online and enables teamwork and exchange of experience through e-learning activities.
- For doctoral students, the virtual component is optional.
- BIPs and summer schools are carried out under an Erasmus+ Inter-Institutional Agreement and take place at partner universities.

Application and Eligibility Criteria
- Only student who hold SGGW student status at the time of mobility are eligible to participate in Erasmus+ short-term mobility.
- Participants must demonstrate proficiency in the language of instruction at B1 or B2 level, depending on the requirements of the host institution. Language competence should enable students to communicate effectively, understand academic texts, write assignments, and actively participate in classes.
- Applications for Blended Intensive Programmes (BIPs) (combined mobility with a virtual component) and summer schools are accepted on a rolling basis, whenever an offer is received by SGGW.
- When SGGW participates in a BIP as a partner institution, recruitment is conducted by the relevant academic unit, which subsequently submits the final list of selected students to the International Relations Office (IRO).
- If a BIP or summer school offer is addressed directly to the IRO, recruitment is conducted by the IRO in cooperation with the partner institution.
- Information about recruitment is published on the SGGW website (IRO News), social media channels, and distributed to the relevant faculties.
Selection Criteria
Candidates are assessed on the basis of:
- relevance of the study programme to the course subject,
- grade point average (GPA),
- involvement in university activities (e.g. student organizations, promotional events),
- previous participation in the Erasmus+ Programme (priority may be given to students who have not yet participated in Erasmus+ mobility).

Application Documents
Students and doctoral candidates selected for mobility must contact the International Relations Office (IRO) to initiate the departure procedure and submit:
- Personal Data Form together with the GDPR consent form;
- Online Learning Agreement (OLA) for studies
After receiving approval, the student/doctoral candidate must:
- prepare the mobility application according to the instructions provided by the IRO;
- if applicable, sign the Green Travel Declaration;
- sign the grant agreement with SGGW specifying the conditions of the mobility, grant payment, and settlement;
- obtain appropriate insurance:
- students travelling to an EU Member State or Norway must hold a valid European Health Insurance Card (EHIC);
- as the EHIC covers only necessary medical treatment, additional private medical insurance is strongly recommended;
- students travelling to countries where the EHIC is not valid are required to purchase private health insurance;
- personal accident (NNW) and third-party liability (OC) insurance are recommended by SGGW;
- complete all visa, residence permit, and border crossing formalities independently.

Funding
Students receive Erasmus+ financial support for:
- each day of physical mobility;
- an additional 2 or 4 travel days, depending on the distance to the host institution and the chosen means of transport.

Travel grants are calculated based on the straight-line distance between Warsaw and the destination using the Erasmus+ Distance Calculator.

Mobility Completion
To complete the mobility formally, upon return the student or doctoral candidate must:
- Submit to the International Relations Office (IRO) a Confirmation of Mobility issued by the host institution (BIP, summer school or short-term traineeship).
For Blended Intensive Programmes (BIPs), the confirmation must include:
- course title;
- course number;
- dates of both the virtual component and the physical mobility;
- number of ECTS credits awarded.
- Complete the Erasmus+ participant report/evaluation survey.
- If applicable, submit all documents required to verify eligibility for the Green Travel grant.
