Gala of Agribusiness and “Pathways to AgriSuccess” at SGGW
The Agribusiness Gala 2023 took place on 23 November at SGGW. The soiree was accompanied by the “Pathways to Agrisuccess” event organized by Redakcja Magazynu Ludzi Przedsiębiorczych AGRO [journal], Stowarzyszenie AgroBiznesKlub [association], and SGGW authorities.
This year’s Gala brought together nearly 250 participants from across the country, including leading Polish farmers, representatives of the Polish agribusiness – winners of nationwide Agroprzedsiębiorca RP and AgroLiga competitions, officials from central and regional institutions related to the food industry, representatives from the Chancellery of the President of Poland, the Parliament, agricultural advisory services, and agricultural organizations.
The guests were welcomed by the SGGW Rector, Prof. dr hab. Michał Zasada, who highlighted the significance of scientific research for the operations of various industries. The highlight of the event was the overview of the 33rd edition of the Agroprzedsiębiorca RP competition. The laureates of the competition were gifted souvenir sabers.
The laureate of the Meritorious Promoter of Agribusiness in Poland 2023 competition was prof. dr hab. Michał Zasada, the Rector of the Warsaw University of Life Sciences. The souvenir was handed over by Mrs. Cecylia Nowosielska, from Ignacy Paderewski High School in Sulejówek, the former Rector’s teacher.
During the Agribusiness Gala 2023, two other academics were also awarded: prof dr hab. Jarosław Gołębiewski, Vice-Rector for Didactics, dr. hab. Irena Suwara, SGGW University Professor, and Dean of the Faculty of Agriculture and Ecology, and prof. dr Justyna Więcek, Dean of the Faculty of Animal Sciences.
