recruitment:
- 1st degree diploma in animal husbandry, breeding and protection of companion and wild animals;- a diploma of another field of first-cycle studies for which the learning outcomes are consistent with the outcomes expected from candidates; if this coincidence is incomplete, the student will be required to fill in the competency gaps by completing the subjects indicated during the interview, to the extent not exceeding 30 ECTS (the limit of the acceptable discrepancy);
– the average of grades from first-level studies.

Description of direction
The study program covers issues related to livestock breeding and breeding, plant cultivation and fodder production, as well as the evaluation of animal products. Students acquire knowledge in the field of breeding and feeding various species of farm animals while maintaining their health and welfare and the production of food of animal origin.
The study program includes:
FIRST CYCLE STUDIES: chemistry, biochemistry, zoology, anatomy and physiology of animals, genetics and methods of animal improvement, animal husbandry, reproductive biology, nutrition and feed science, hygiene, animal welfare, animal products commodity science, basics of economy and marketing, organization of animal production.
SECOND CYCLE STUDIES: zootechnical experimentation, biotechnology of reproduction, fodder management and biotechnology in feed production, pro-ecological methods of animal breeding, modifying the nutritional value of animal products, basics of processing, farm management.
During their studies, students undergo internships in:
• experimental facilities of the Warsaw University of Life Sciences,
• research institutes cooperating with the university,
• private farms and farms owned by State Treasury companies,
• government agencies (Polish and foreign),
• agri-food industry enterprises,
• feed concerns.
Career prospects
The main fields of professional activity of graduates include:
• running livestock production,
• managing the breeding farm at various organizational levels,
• organization of the raw material base for the agri-food industry,
• feed companies and other companies trading in means of livestock production and trading in agricultural products,
• institutions dealing with the protection of animals and the environment,
