Description of direction
Tourism and recreation is an interdisciplinary field of study that combines knowledge in the field of organization and management, natural, social, agricultural and forestry sciences in its program. Graduates are able to prepare tourist and recreational offers for various groups of recipients. They also have broad competences necessary to work with people and to run their own business.
The study program includes:
FIRST CYCLE STUDIES: basics of tourism, basics of recreation, economics, management, history of architecture and art, pedagogy of free time, sociology, human physiology, tourist geography, sightseeing, environmental management and nature protection, economics of tourism and recreation, law, qualified tourism.
SECOND CYCLE STUDIES: tourism region, tourism product, tourism policy, tourism planning, tourism enterprise management, IT in tourism and recreation, methods of tourism research. Depending on the level and form of studies, students can broaden their knowledge of the following topics:
• tourism management in the region,
• international tourism business,
• urban tourism,
• nature tourism,
• hospitality and gastronomy.
