Structural Funds

The most funds were allocated to the Infrastructure and Environmental Programme. The priorities of this program are the low-carbon economy, environmental protection, the development of the country’s technical infrastructure, and energy security.

The second highest funded initiative is the Smart Development Programme. It is the largest program in the European Union to finance research, development, and innovation. Thanks to it, support including researchers and entrepreneurs will be able to jointly run R&D projects and the results of R&D work will be applied in the economy. “From idea to market” – this is the main premise of this program. It means supporting innovation, from the development of concepts of unprecedented products, services, or technologies, through the preparation of prototypes/pilot lines, to their commercialization.

The Knowledge Education Development Programme aims at activating young people under the age of 30 who are unemployed, supporting higher education, developing social innovation, mobility, and transnational cooperation, as well as reforming public policies in the areas of employment, social inclusion, education, health, and good governance.

The Digital Poland Programme aims to increase internet accessibility, create citizen-friendly e-government, which will enable many cases to be handled through a computer and the dissemination of knowledge and skills of computer use in society.

The Eastern Poland programme is a trans-regional programme for the provinces of Eastern Poland aimed at increasing the competitiveness and innovation of the Polish East Polish macro-region by supporting innovation and research development and increasing the investment attractiveness of the macro-region, in particular through transport accessibility.

The Technical Assistance programme is intended to ensure the smooth functioning of the institutions of the system of implementation of the Funds, as well as the establishment of an effective system of information and promotion of European funds.

In addition, poland is running the Rural Development Programme (€8.5 billion) and the Fisheries and Sea Programme (€0.5 billion).
