The Warsaw University of Life Sciences invites undergraduate and graduate students to participate in the international course “Waste Materials Application in Civil and Environmental Engineering” (4 ECTS).
The programme combines online learning with an on-site intensive week in Warsaw. Students will work in international teams on civil and environmental engineering problems related to the use of construction and demolition (C&D) and industrial solid waste (ISW) materials.
The course covers environmental impacts, ecotoxicity, remediation potential, geotechnical design, and laboratory and in situ testing methods. The stationary part includes laboratory work and report preparation under the guidance of experienced lecturers.
The programme takes place during Student Week at SGGW and includes participation in Civil Engineering Days (23–24 April 2026).

English proficiency at B2 level is required.Can alien tree species help mitigate the negative effects of climate change? What silvicultural and management methods prove effective for alien species? What benefits and risks do alien species pose to forest ecosystems?
Join us for an international Erasmus+ Blended Intensive Programme focused on Alien Species in Forest Ecology (3 ECTS).
The programme consists of an online component (6 hours) , followed by an onsite component in Poland from 14 to 19 June 2026.
Participants will take part in lectures, workshops, field excursions, forest site visits, and Oxford-style debates, held at the SGGW Forest Experimental Station and Arboretum in Rogów.
Accommodation will be provided at the SGGW Forest Experimental Station in Rogów, located within a unique forest arboretum. The cost of accommodation and meals is approximately €50 per day, including a shared double or triple room, as well as breakfast, lunch, and dinner served at the on-site cafeteria.

Where science meets humanity to shape the future of ageing – (3 ECTS)AgeWise is an interdisciplinary learning programme designed to help students understand and respond to the scientific and societal challenges of ageing in Europe and beyond. As longevity becomes the norm, ageing is no longer a niche issue but a key topic for science, healthcare, technology, urban design, and social policy.
The programme combines biological, medical, technological, and social perspectives on ageing. During the in-person intensive week in Warsaw, students take part in lectures, laboratory demonstrations, interdisciplinary workshops, and design thinking sessions. Working in international teams, participants develop human-centred solutions to real-world challenges faced by ageing societies.

Circular Green Nanobiotechnology 18.06.- 24.06.2026

Circular Green Nanobiotechnology is an international, interdisciplinary course combining online learning with on-site laboratory training (4 ECTS)
The course introduces students to sustainable approaches in nanobiotechnology, focusing on green synthesis, biosafety, and circular economy principles. It consists of a three-week virtual component (25 contact hours plus 15 hours of individual work) delivered via MS Teams, Miro, Padlet, and Mentimeter, followed by an intensive laboratory session held from June 18–24, and a post-laboratory virtual session.
The course introduces principles of circular economy, green chemistry, sustainability, and nanosafety, with a strong focus on bio-based and biodegradable nanomaterials.
Participants will gain theoretical knowledge and practical experience in green synthesis and functionalization of nanomaterials, physicochemical characterization techniques, nanoparticle–cell interactions, and in vitro nanosafety assessment. Through interactive lectures, teamwork in international groups, and hands-on laboratory work, students will develop interdisciplinary knowledge, digital collaboration skills, and practical competencies essential for sustainable and environmentally responsible research in nanobiotechnology.

Wildlife Conservation and Management in Europe 06.07.-10.07.2026

Wildlife Conservation and Management in Europe (3 ECTS) is a BIP organized by the Institute of Animal Sciences – SGGW
The programme includes 6 hours of online lectures and seminars (June 2026) and on-site field classes in Poland 6–10 July 2026, conducted in national and landscape parks as well as Natura 2000 sites.
The course focuses on European wildlife conservation, EU environmental policies, biodiversity management, invasive species control, and practical field methods such as species monitoring, GIS and data collection.Participants work in international teams and prepare a species or habitat management plan as a final project.
This is a unique course in which the core activities take place directly in the field, allowing students to gain hands-on experience in real conservation settings. It offers an exceptional opportunity to combine scientific knowledge with practical skills, teamwork and direct contact with European wildlife and conservation professionals.Accommodation during the field classes in the parks will be organised by SGGW. The costs will be provided as soon as possible.

Personalized and Sustainable Gluten-Free Diet – Health Benefits and Risks 06.07-10.07.2026

🎯 Target Group: Bachelor’s and Master’s students in nutrition, dietetics, food science, health sciences, or related fields who are interested in personalized nutrition, gluten-free diets, and sustainable food systems.

The Warsaw University of Life Sciences, Faculty of Human Nutrition invites students to participate in the Erasmus+ Blended Intensive Programme – Personalized and Sustainable Gluten-Free Diet – Health Benefits and Risks, (3 ECTS) .
The programme included expert-led lectures, hands-on cooking laboratories, sensory analysis workshops, team-based project work, and final presentations conducted in international groups.
Participants will gain practical skills in planning nutritionally balanced and environmentally sustainable gluten-free menus, assessing their nutritional value and environmental impact, and communicating effectively in English within a multicultural academic setting. Upon successful completion of all course tasks, students will receive a course certificate and earn 3 ECTS credits.
