On April 20-21, 2026, representatives of the academic and administrative staff of the Warsaw University of Life Sciences visited the Czech University of Life Sciences in Prague to gain a firsthand look at how this ELLS network member university operates in the area of internationalization.
The main goal of the visit was to learn about best practices related to recruiting and supporting foreign researchers and their families. Experts from the host university discussed working in multicultural teams and the challenges associated with recruiting foreign researchers. A separate session was dedicated to supporting doctoral students from outside the European Union, highlighting effective solutions implemented in Prague. Participants in the study visit also had the opportunity to tour the campus, including modern teaching and research facilities and a food processing center. An important element of the program was a networking meeting, which facilitated the exchange of experiences and the building of international relationships.
The study visit was carried out as part of the project “Internationalization of SGGW – Attracting Foreign Talent” under the “Welcome to Poland 2023” program of the National Agency for Academic Exchange, agreement number BNP/WTP/2023/1/00050/U/00001. The project is managed by the Office of International Cooperation.
