On 8 October 2026, the Warsaw University of Life Sciences (SGGW) officially opened its Innovative Nutrition Research Center. The new facility will serve researchers and students, providing opportunities to conduct research, develop innovative solutions, and deliver education in the fields of nutrition and health. The opening ceremony was held in conjunction with the inauguration of the 2026/2027 academic year at SGGW’s Faculty of Health Sciences.

On 7 October 2026, the Warsaw University of Life Sciences (SGGW) officially inaugurated the 2026/2027 academic year. This year’s ceremony was of particular significance, as it took place during the university’s 210th anniversary year. SGGW has been included in two international university rankings – the UI GreenMetric World University Rankings 2026 and the Times Higher Education Europe University Rankings 2027. The rankings assess universities according to different criteria, highlighting, among other things, the importance of research, education and sustainable development initiatives.

On 1 October 2026, the new SGGW Organizational Regulations will take effect as the primary regulatory act defining the University’s organizational structure and the division of responsibilities within that structure, as well as the organization and operating principles of the University administration.

More than 3,200 social scientists from 68 countries across Europe and around the world will meet in Warsaw for the 17th Conference of the European Sociological Association (ESA).

The second edition of Polonia Camp has begun on the campus of the Warsaw University of Life Sciences. The event is aimed at young members of the Polish diaspora from all over the world.
