SGGW authorities at the Post-COP30 Event “Três Fronteiras” Bioeconomy, Health and Sustainable Transitions. Strengthening scientific cooperation and relations with the Polish community in South America
On December 8-12, 2025, the authorities of the Warsaw University of Life Sciences participated in the international Post-COP30 Event “Três Fronteiras” Bioeconomy, Health and Sustainable Transitions in Brazil and Argentina, strengthening scientific cooperation with universities in the Tri-Border region and emphasizing the strategic role of the Brazilian and South American Polish diaspora in the internationalization of research and education.
Achieving sustainable development goals by including the Warsaw University of Life Sciences in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs’ Development Aid program
The Warsaw University of Life Sciences is strengthening global efforts to combat hunger and improve access to quality education through a Polish Aid project supporting modern milk processing training in Tanzania. As part of this initiative, SGGW experts have delivered specialized workshops, introduced new dairy products, and contributed to long-term improvements in local food safety and production practices.
The Warsaw University of Life Sciences actively participates in the General Assembly, Forum, and Scientific Conference of ELLS students.
From 13 to 15 November, the General Assembly, Forum and Student Scientific Conference of the European ELLS network are taking place in Uppsala, Sweden. ELLS brings together leading universities collaborating in the fields of natural resource management, agricultural and forestry sciences, biological sciences, animal sciences, food sciences, environmental sciences and rural development, including agricultural economics and rural sociology.

On October 28, 2025, Prof. Tomasz Okruszko, Vice-Rector for Research at the Warsaw University of Life Sciences (SGGW), delivered a lecture titled “Rewetting Europe: Policy, Science and Practice for a Resilient Future.”
Welcome Day – we welcomed new international students!
More than 170 students of English-taught programmes and participants of exchange programmes starting their studies at SGGW in the winter semester 25/26 took part in the Welcome Day event on Saturday, 4 October.
New Chancellor of the Warsaw University of Life Sciences
As of 1 October 2025, following a competitive selection process and in accordance with the decision of the Rector of the Warsaw University of Life Sciences, the position of Chancellor of SGGW has been assumed by Dr. Arkadiusz Gruchała.
